Her granddaughter, who is also Karangkraf chairman Firdaus Hussamuddin said she had previously been in good condition and was only frail due to age.

Firdaus said although her grandmother's movements required assistance, the latter did not suffer from any serious illness and lived life as usual.

"She loved spending time with the family, eating and chatting together. There were no signs that she was about to leave us.

"Even at 89, her memory was very strong. She remembered the names of all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and always cared about what was happening around her, especially involving the family.

"That is why her passing has deeply affected the entire family. My grandmother was truly loving and caring towards her children and grandchildren," she told Sinar.

Sharing about her late grandmother's personality, Firdaus said she enjoyed reciting the Quran.

"Every day she would recite the Quran. Perhaps that is why she had such a strong memory and mental sharpness," she said.

Firdaus added that her grandmother was only admitted to the Intensive Care Unit for two days before passing away.

"The most touching moment was when she was surrounded by all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren in her final moments.

"On behalf of the family, I would also like to express our gratitude to friends and relatives who continuously prayed for her health and gave support to the family. We truly appreciate all the prayers given," she said.
