Gerik MP Fathul Huzir Ayob has confirmed his dismissal, while a letter sighted by Sinar stated that Padang Rengas MP Azahari Hasan has also had his membership terminated.

According to letters issued by Bersatu Disciplinary Board Chairman Datuk Radzi Manan, the three MPs breached Clause 9.1.4—the same provision cited in Hamzah’s removal.

The clause requires members to comply with the party’s constitution, code of ethics and code of conduct.

Fathul and Azahari were among 16 Bersatu MPs who supported party Vice-President Datuk Seri Ronald Kiandee’s call for Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin to step down as president and be replaced by his deputy.

Sabah Bersatu Secretary Yunus Nurdin, who had also previously urged Muhyiddin to resign, has been sacked as well.

Bersatu has been facing internal turmoil for months due to a leadership struggle between Muhyiddin and Hamzah, the party’s former deputy president.
