KUALA LUMPUR – Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad (Bank Islam) celebrated 32 selected customers from its Personal-i, Home-i and Vehicle-i financing products, as well as deposit account holders, at the Mega Financing and Al-Awfar Campaign 2025 Prize Presentation Ceremony at Menara Bank Islam on Monday, celebrating winners of prizes up to RM1 million and reaffirming the Bank’s focus on rewarding loyalty.
The prizes were presented by Bank Islam’s Officer-in Charge and Group Chief Business Officer – Retail Banking, Mizan Masram, and thanked customers for their continued trust and loyalty.

“At first, I didn’t know whether to believe it.
“Even my family was unsure. It felt too extraordinary to be true. But after checking everything carefully, we realised it was genuine,” he shared.
Having saved with Bank Islam for more than five years, Amti described the win as something he never once expected. As he approaches retirement, he sees the prize not just as a reward, but as reassurance for the years ahead.
“I plan to keep the money for my post-retirement years,” he said, grateful for the unexpected blessing that has brought both relief and excitement to his family.
Speaking at the event, Mizan said the Mega Financing and Al-Awfar campaigns were introduced to reward customers who have consistently supported the bank over the years.
He added that the campaigns reflected Bank Islam’s commitment to building long-term relationships with its customers.
“To sustain this momentum, Bank Islam will refresh and rebrand Al-Awfar as AWFAR. This is not merely a new name, but an enhanced structure with more attractive features designed to deliver greater value to our customers,” he said in his keynote address today.

Mizan said the introduction of AWFAR highlights Bank Islam’s continued efforts to enhance the banking experience while meeting the evolving needs of customers seeking innovative, Shariah-compliant financial solutions.
With more than 8,800 winners annually, the Al-Awfar campaign has sustained strong participation and customer interest. The initiative has also proven effective in encouraging transactional activity and strengthening long-term customer loyalty.
Meanwhile, the Mega Financing Campaign 2025 offers two Proton e.MAS 7 electric vehicles as its grand prizes, with one winner selected every six months. In its second year, the campaign has helped drive momentum, recording a 13.08 per cent increase in applications for Personal i, Home i and Vehicle i financing, an indicator of rising customer confidence in Bank Islam’s products and offerings.
Customers share their joy and gratitude
For many winners, the first call informing them of their win came as a surprise.
Azliya Ghazali, 52, the winner of a Proton e.MAS 7, admitted she initially thought it might be too good to be true
“I had just applied for financing from Bank Islam at the end of December, so when they called to say I had won, I was honestly shocked and didn’t believe it at first.
“I had tried applying for financing with other banks before, but the amounts offered didn’t meet my needs. Bank Islam really helped me. I’m truly grateful,” she said when met here today, adding that she plans to use the vehicle for her family and described the win as an unexpected blessing.
Another winner, Mohamad Ezwan Mohamad Zain, who won a Honda HR-V, described the prize as a blessing at the start of the year.
“I’ve been with Bank Islam for almost eight years. When they first messaged me, I didn’t respond because I was skeptical. But after checking the website and verifying the information, I realised it was real,” he said.
Ezwan, who is the husband of actress and singer Erra Fazira, said he had always enjoyed a smooth experience with Bank Islam’s services and mobile app and plans to continue banking with the institution.
