"We are one country, and there must be cooperation between all parties - the states and the federal government - to further strengthen our nation, Malaysia.

"In my view, there is no such thing as a Borneo bloc. Who is creating the Borneo bloc? There is none,” he told reporters after launching the Sabah Higher Education Student Contribution Assistance Initiative (SENTOSA) programme at Dewan Rafflesia, Politeknik Kota Kinabalu, here today.

Hajiji said the narrative needs to be corrected as approaches that separate states through certain labels could confuse the public.

The media recently reported a political leader as saying that Sabah and Sarawak already wield strong political influence in Malaysia and are now seeking to further strengthen it through the proposed Borneo bloc. - BERNAMA
