SHAH ALAM – A Miss Grand Thailand contestant is going viral after an unexpected onstage mishap turned into a moment that left audiences stunned.
The incident, which took place on March 25, saw 18-year-old Kamolwan Chanago briefly falter mid-speech when her dental veneers suddenly became dislodged during her introduction at the preliminary round in Bangkok.
The Pathum Thani representative was speaking confidently before the situation unfolded, momentarily affecting her delivery as she struggled to continue.
She then turned away from the audience to quickly adjust the veneers before regaining control and returning to the spotlight.
Without missing a beat, Chanago carried on with her walk, maintaining her composure while showcasing her sparkling pink gown and fur shawl.
She completed her routine with poise, delivering her poses and stage presence as if nothing had happened.
Spectators online praised her professionalism, with some describing her response as calm and impressive despite the unexpected moment.
“During her on-stage introduction, Chanago experienced a minor and unexpected incident in which her veneer teeth became dislodged.
“She handled the situation with professionalism and composure and the event continued smoothly without disruption. We are proud of her confidence and stage presence throughout the competition,” a spokesperson for Miss Grand International told American weekly magazine People.
The Miss Grand Thailand pageant featured 77 contestants competing for the national title, with the winner set to represent Thailand at the Miss Grand International 2026 competition in India this October.
The grand finale is scheduled to take place on March 28 at the MGI Hall in Bangkok.
