The concert, titled ‘For You: Nourul’, was earlier scheduled for April, but the original organiser withdrew due to unavoidable personal issues, prompting the singer to take on the responsibility of organising the event herself.

"When fans started showing their support and purchasing tickets early, it sent a clear signal that they still want to see me on stage. That support became my biggest motivation to go ahead with this concert.

"While some show their support on social media, those who are willing to spend money on tickets (to my concert) represent a level of trust I cannot ignore,” she told reporters after a press conference here recently.

The May 30 concert will take place at Zepp Kuala Lumpur here and will celebrate the career of the ‘Anugerah Juara Lagu 13’ winner spanning more than three decades.

It will also feature popular singer Mimi Fly as a guest performer, while another male singer is expected to be announced soon.

According to the ‘Kerana Terluka’ singer, the experience of organising a concert is teaching her valuable lessons about courage in decision-making and resilience in facing unexpected situations.

"Every time I start something new, there is always fear and worry, especially when it comes to finances. But I’ve learned to see it as a challenge and keep moving forward. It’s a process that builds my self-confidence,” she said, adding that the support of her husband and production team has been crucial in ensuring the smooth organisation of the concert.

Nourul also expressed her appreciation to several sponsors who have stepped forward to help ease the cost of organising the event.

"I personally approached sponsors and every contribution, big or small, has been immensely helpful in terms of both finances and logistics,” she said, adding that Eddie Slam will serve as the concert’s music director.

She said the cost of organising the concert has now reached "six figures”.

"But my priority is to ensure the team is paid and that everything runs smoothly,” the mother of four added.

She said the concert is not merely an entertainment showcase but also a platform to share her life journey and inspire her fans.

"My (upcoming) concert reflects who I am, not just as a singer but as a person who has gone through many phases in life. I want fans not only to enjoy the music but also to understand the journey and message I bring,” she said.

She added that the concert, which will run for more than an hour and a half, will feature her hit songs, including songs performed in French.

Nourul also hopes her efforts will open new doors in her singing career in the future. - BERNAMA
