SEREMBAN - Traders in Taman Dusun Setia here have been left frustrated after a woman, believed to be elderly, was allegedly caught repeatedly defecating in front of a shop, an incident that has now gone viral on social media.
The matter came to public attention after a video of the incident was shared online since Saturday, showing what is believed to be repeated behaviour affecting business operators in the area.
According to a Facebook post by NegeriSembilanKini, shop owners have been dealing with the issue almost weekly, forcing them to clean the area repeatedly.
“Assalamualaikum admin, please help post this. The incident took place in Taman Dusun Setia, Seremban. A woman believed to be an elderly person has frequently defecated in front of our shop in this area.
“Because it happened too often, the shop installed closed-circuit television (CCTV) and this time the individual was successfully recorded at about 6am,” the post stated.
The shop operator stressed that the intention of the post was not to shame anyone but to seek intervention from family members or responsible parties to help monitor the situation.
“We no longer have the opportunity to meet her and it is not meant to embarrass anyone. We are only trying to earn a living here. If this keeps happening repeatedly, it is very difficult to remain patient.
“As the legendary Bujang Lapok dialogue by P Ramlee says, ‘even over faeces people can quarrel’, this is exactly what it is, but when it happens repeatedly in front of a shop, it really can make people lose patience.
“We hope this matter can be resolved properly and does not happen again,” the post added.
