SUNGAI BULOH – Police have increased patrols to ensure the safety of the local community following claims by residents in the Puncak Alam area regarding mysterious knocking sounds reported in several residential areas.
Sungai Buloh District Police chief, Superintendent Mohd Hafiz Muhammad Nor said police also require cooperation from the public in providing accurate and timely information to enable enforcement actions to be carried out more effectively.
He said cooperation between the police and the community is crucial in ensuring public safety remains at the highest level.
“Police will always remain on standby to ensure the safety of the local community.
“In line with the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) motto ‘Police and Community Are Inseparable’, this must be translated into mutual dependence, where the police also require assistance in the form of information that is shared quickly and accurately,” he said when contacted on Thursday.
He was commenting on viral social media claims regarding mysterious knocking sounds in several areas around Puncak Alam recently.
He also clarified that, so far, no official police reports have been received regarding the incidents.
Previously, the situation in Puncak Alam caused concern after residents claimed they heard knocking sounds on their doors in the early hours of the morning, based on several viral social media posts.
