No Malaysians affected following attack at Kuwait International Airport - Wisma Putra

Malaysia's Foreign Ministry has confirmed that there have been no reports of Malaysians being affected by the drone and missile attack targeting Kuwait International Airport in the early hours of June 3.

The ministry, through the Malaysian Embassy in Kuwait, is closely monitoring the situation following the attack and has confirmed that all registered Malaysian citizens in the country are safe.

KUALA LUMPUR - Malaysia's Foreign Ministry has confirmed that there have been no reports of Malaysians being affected by the drone and missile attack targeting Kuwait International Airport in the early hours of June 3.

The ministry, through the Malaysian Embassy in Kuwait, is closely monitoring the situation following the attack and has confirmed that all registered Malaysian citizens in the country are safe.

"Following the attack, the airport was temporarily closed and all commercial flights have been suspended until further notice.

"Malaysian citizens whose travel plans have been affected by the disruption are advised to contact their respective airlines directly for alternative arrangements and flight rescheduling," the ministry said in a statement on Thursday.

The ministry, also known as Wisma Putra, urged Malaysians residing in or travelling within the region to exercise the highest level of vigilance and to fully comply with any security directives, movement restrictions, or emergency instructions issued by local authorities.

Malaysian citizens who have yet to register their presence in the country are strongly encouraged to do so immediately through the ministry's e-Konsular portal at https://ekonsular.kln.gov.my to facilitate communication and the swift provision of assistance.
