SHAH ALAM - DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke has hit back at Johor Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman Onn Hafiz Ghazi, who said he would rather give up his Menteri Besar post than work with DAP.
Loke said the stance was a form of arrogance that contradicted the current political reality at the federal level, where Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi sits at the same Cabinet meeting table as him every week.
"You don't want to sit at the same table as DAP... great! Keep up that arrogance.
"But your president sits next to the DAP secretary-general every single week... just so you know... thank you," he wrote in a Facebook post on Sunday.
Loke also uploaded a photo of himself seated beside Zahid at a meeting.
Earlier, Onn Hafiz had rejected any cooperation with DAP, saying he would step down as Menteri Besar if such a situation arose after the Johor state election.
He said the political reality in Johor differed from the federal level, where cooperation between BN, particularly Umno and DAP had never existed.
