PETALING JAYA - The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) has announced the permanent closure of all remittance counters across its nationwide offices effective July 1 2026.
The move is part of the retirement fund's strategic transition toward enhancing service delivery through digital and alternative payment channels.
In a statement released on June 11, the EPF clarified that all other service counters at its branches will remain unaffected and will continue to operate as usual.
Following the closure of the physical receipting counters, members can seamlessly transition to existing digital and alternative platforms to make their contribution payments. These channels include the EPF i-Akaun mobile application, internet banking platforms, bank agent counters, Self-Service Terminals (SST), as well as services provided by the Mobile KWSP Team and Relationship Advisory (RA) officers.
Meanwhile, employers are strongly encouraged to utilise the i-Akaun (Employer) portal to facilitate smoother and more efficient payment processing.
The fund assured both members and employers that the counter closures will not disrupt the contribution process, given the wide availability of existing payment alternatives.
"The EPF remains committed to continuously improving its service delivery and ensuring that members and employers can perform transactions seamlessly through secure, accessible, and efficient platforms," the statement read.
