KUANTAN - The Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, and the Tengku Ampuan of Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, have extended their condolences to the families of those killed in the accident in Karak, Bentong, yesterday.
Through a Facebook post by the Pahang Sultanate today, Their Royal Highnesses expressed deep sorrow over the tragedy that claimed four lives, including a one-year-old infant, after the victims' car was involved in a collision with a trailer at KM43 of the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Expressway (KLK).
"The Sultan of Pahang and the Tengku Ampuan of Pahang pray that their souls will be blessed by Allah SWT, forgiven for their sins, and placed among the faithful and the righteous,” the post said.
Their Royal Highnesses also expressed sympathy to the victims’ family members who are going through a difficult time following the tragedy.
"May the victims' families be granted strength, resilience and patience in facing this very difficult ordeal,” the post added.
According to the post, four individuals travelling in a Honda City were confirmed dead at the scene after their vehicle was involved in a collision with a trailer carrying a load of iron dust.
Earlier today, Bentong police chief Supt Zaiham Mohd Kahar reportedly said that the 40-year-old lorry driver had tested positive for drugs. - BERNAMA
