KUALA LUMPUR – KLGCC Mall marked Father’s Day with a vibrant celebration of fashion, culture and entertainment, bringing together local designers, performers, shoppers and special guests in honour of fathers.
Held yesterday, the launch also introduced an exclusive RM1,500 curated Father’s Day experience designed to create meaningful opportunities for fathers and their loved ones to bond, relax and celebrate together.
The event was graced by Johor royalty, Tunku Kamariah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, Tunku Putri Johor, who attended as the guest of honour.
The programme opened with a welcoming cultural performance by Sanggar Budaya Sri Pengkalan, presenting “Samrah Sahabat Gua”, setting the tone for an afternoon that blended Malaysian heritage with contemporary fashion.
Fashion presentations featured collections from several local designers and brands. Aryan opened the runway segment with its “AFWI” collection, followed by RuzzGahara’s “The Heirs of Malaya”, which highlighted elements inspired by local identity and tradition.
Guests were also treated to a musical performance by Musly Ramlee, who performed “Anakku Sazali”.
The fashion showcase continued with Andy Sulaiman’s “The Borneo Vibe”, featuring designs inspired by the rich cultural influences of East Malaysia.
Entertainment segments throughout the event included a performance by Haziq Rosebi, who presented “Umpan Jinak Di Air Tenang”, followed by a Zapin Fest dance performance that further showcased traditional Malaysian arts.
The final runway presentation featured RajaRezza’s “The IFF Collection”, before the programme concluded with a grand finale accompanied by Haziq Rosebi’s performance of “Lemak Manis.”
In conjunction with Father’s Day, KLGCC Mall is offering an exclusive two-person experience package worth RM1,500 aimed at creating meaningful memories between fathers and their loved ones.
The promotion runs from June 15 to June 21. To qualify, shoppers must spend a minimum of RM800 at participating tenants using a maximum of two combined receipts. Receipts must be submitted at the Ground Floor concierge counter. The offer is limited to the first 20 qualifying fathers.
The specially curated Father’s Day experience will take place on June 20 and 21 and features activities centred on wellness, recreation and quality family time.
The programme begins with a Fitness Bonding Session at 10.30am, where participants can train together through a HYROX-inspired workout experience. Register here for fun, quality time designed for dads and kids to bond, laugh and make lasting memories together.
This will be followed by Coffee and Pancakes at 11.30am, allowing families to enjoy a relaxed breakfast together.
At 12.30pm, participants can take part in an Interactive Gaming Experience before enjoying a Seitai Therapy Massage at 1.30pm, aimed at improving posture, joint mobility and muscle balance.
The day continues with a fish and chips lunch at 2.30pm, followed by a deluxe haircut session at 3.30pm.
A Playdate with Dad session at 4.30pm is designed to encourage families to reconnect through shared activities and experiences. The celebration concludes with a Thai Dinner Feast for two at 6.30pm, rounding off a day dedicated entirely to appreciating fathers.
As part of the Father’s Day celebrations, KLGCC Mall is also collaborating with Sinar Daily for the Father’s Day Wellbeing Event, which will be held on June 20 and 21.
The event focuses on fathers’ mental health and aims to raise awareness of the often-unspoken challenges many fathers face while caring for their families.
Visitors can participate in mental health screenings conducted by licensed psychologists, alongside fitness activities and interactive game booths designed to encourage fathers and their children to spend quality time together.
On June 21, participants can also join Play With Nature, a hands-on botanical printing workshop for fathers and children. Each participant will receive a complimentary linen pouch, with registration fees set at RM30 for one person and RM50 for two participants.
Also taking place the same day is the Crossword Puzzle Challenge With My Dad, where fathers and their children can compete for the title of Best Crossword Puzzle Duo and stand a chance to win prizes, including goodie bags for the first 10 teams.
The competition is open to fathers and children aged between six and 17 years old, with registration priced at RM35 per pair.
