“Ahmad Samsuri’s statement is enough. There will be another statement next week,” he said.

His remarks came amid growing attention over PN’s administrative restructuring announced earlier this week as the coalition prepares for the Johor and Negeri Sembilan state elections.

On Wednesday, PN chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar announced that the restructuring would take immediate effect as part of efforts to strengthen the coalition ahead of the upcoming polls.

The overhaul saw Datuk Dr Mohd Radzi Md Jidin removed as PN election director, with the role now assumed by Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Noor.

Sanusi’s previous position as PN treasurer was in turn handed to Malaysian Indian People’s Party (MIPP) deputy president S Subramaniam.

The restructuring also involved the removal of Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali as PN deputy secretary-general to comply with the coalition’s constitution.

Samsuri stated that the changes were made under the powers provided by Clauses 8.3(V), (VI) and (VII) of the PN constitution.

He also announced that an emergency Supreme Council meeting would be convened in the near future to further strengthen the coalition’s organisational structure.
