Khairy declined to elaborate on his specific plans, leaving it unclear whether he will actively hit the campaign trail or stump for any particular candidate or political party.

He was speaking to the press following the launch of the "Safe Child, Strong Nation" campaign, organised by the Children’s Protection Society Malaysia at Seri Negara.

Despite his current status as an independent political figure after being sacked from Umno, Khairy remains an influential commentator and a highly watched personality ahead of the state polls.

The Election Commission has set July 11 as polling day for the Johor state election, with nominations scheduled for June 27 and early voting on July 7.
