Transport Minister Anthony Loke announces that the 37.8km LRT3 line from Bandar Utama to Johan Setia will open to the public next Monday, benefiting two million residents.

KUALA LUMPUR - The Light Rail Transit 3 (LRT3) line connecting Shah Alam and its surrounding areas will begin operations next Monday, June 29.

Transport Minister Anthony Loke said the official launch of the new rail line will be held this Sunday and officiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

"I would like to announce that the Shah Alam LRT3 launch ceremony will take place this Sunday, officiated by the Prime Minister. Operations will commence immediately on Monday,” he told reporters after opening the new Road Transport Department (JPJ) Bandar Tasik Selatan branch at Terminal Bersepadu Selatan here today.

Spanning 37.8km, the LRT3 runs from Bandar Utama to Johan Setia in Selangor, and is expected to benefit around two million residents.
