More than 350 students join Mega PSK Convention ahead of MRSM, SBP admissions

Organised by Fly High Education Centre (FHEC), the two-day programme aimed to help students prepare for admission into Maktab Rendah Sains Mara (MRSM) and Fully Residential Schools (SBP).

SHAH ALAM - More than 350 students preparing to sit for the Special School Admission Assessment (PKSK) participated in the Mega PKSK 2026 Convention at Universiti Selangor (Unisel) on June 20 and 21.

Organised by Fly High Education Centre (FHEC), the two-day programme aimed to help students prepare for admission into Maktab Rendah Sains Mara (MRSM) and Fully Residential Schools (SBP).

The convention provided participants with exposure to the PKSK examination format, answering techniques, Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS), effective learning strategies, and mental and character development.

FHEC founder Wan Rafidah Wan Ali said early preparation was crucial as PKSK assesses not only academic performance but also students’ critical thinking, reasoning and problem-solving abilities.

“Competition for places in MRSM and SBP continues to increase every year. Students need proper exposure and systematic training so they can be better prepared, more confident and able to perform at their best during the assessment,” she said.

Malaysia’s first astronaut, Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor, shared his success journey and inspired students to pursue their dreams through discipline and perseverance.

The event also featured a motivational session by Malaysia’s first astronaut, Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor, who shared his journey to success and highlighted the importance of discipline, consistent effort and having ambitious goals.

During the convention, FHEC officially launched two educational reference books - Ledakan Dominasi Tingkatan 3 and Ledakan Ultra PKSK - designed to help students prepare for PKSK in a more structured and focused manner. The books were launched by Sheikh Muszaphar, who is also FHEC’s official ambassador.

Another book, UPKK Itu Mudah, was also launched by Siti Nor Bahyah Mahamood and her husband, Wan Akashah Wan Abdul Hamid. The publication serves as a practical guide for students preparing for the KAFA Class Assessment Test (UPKK).

Participants also attended a special motivational session conducted by Siti Nor Bahyah and Wan Akashah.

According to FHEC, the Mega PKSK 2026 Convention is part of its efforts to help students improve their readiness for PKSK and increase their chances of securing places in MRSM and SBP, which remain among the country's most sought-after educational institutions.

The organiser hopes similar programmes will help more students achieve their ambition of studying at prestigious schools while nurturing future generations who excel academically, in leadership and in character development.
