Johor polls: Speculation on Pas and Wawasan candidates for BN proven wrong

Onn Hafiz Ghazi only announced the names of candidates from Umno, MCA, and MIC who will be contesting the 56 State Legislative Assembly seats in the Johor state election this time.

Previously, rumours had emerged about a potential political cooperation involving BN, Pas, and Wawasan to face the Johor state election.

JOHOR BAHRU – Speculation regarding a possible collaboration between Pas and Parti Wawasan Negara (Wawasan) with Barisan Nasional (BN) in the Johor 16th State Election prior to the announcement of BN Johor candidates, turned out to be just rumours.

This follows BN Johor chairman Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi announcing only candidates from Umno, MCA, and MIC who will contest the 56 State Legislative Assembly seats in this election.

Previously, rumours had emerged about a potential political cooperation involving BN, Pas, and Wawasan to face the Johor state election.

It had even gone viral that four seats were allocated to Wawasan while one seat was given to Pas, with each party required to use the BN logo.

In addition, the announcement made at the Johor Umno Liaison Office also denied claims that Skudai incumbent assemblywoman Marina Ibrahim would be brought in as a special BN candidate, as previously speculated.
