Johor polls: BN unveils manifesto with 64 development pledges

Johor BN unveiled a manifesto comprising 64 pledges built around six key pillars for the 16th Johor state election.

Barisan Nasional (BN) Johor has officially launched its manifesto for the 16th Johor state election, presenting 64 tailored pledges focused on driving comprehensive economic growth and expanding welfare safety nets.

JOHOR BAHRU – Barisan Nasional (BN) Johor on Friday launched its manifesto for the 16th Johor state election, featuring 64 pledges built around the six pillars of Maju Johor under the theme “Maju Johor, Stability Preserved, Progress Continued.”

Johor BN chairman Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi said each pledge was formulated based on the real needs of the people, covering employment and business opportunities, housing, education and improving quality of life.

He said the manifesto is not merely a list of promises but is backed by the coalition’s governing experience, proven track record and commitment to driving Johor’s continued development.

“Alhamdulillah, four years ago, the people of Johor entrusted BN to lead the state. During that period, we have worked hard and achieved much together.

“Drawing on that experience and track record, I am presenting the Johor Barisan Nasional Manifesto, which outlines 64 pledges based on the six pillars of Maju Johor,” he said in a statement on Friday.

Onn Hafiz said among the 11 key initiatives offered are strengthening the Bantuan Kasih Johor (BKJ) programme through more targeted assistance and introducing a rental deposit payment scheme for young people.

Other commitments include improving access to subsidised home ownership through a RM100 million housing fund, continuing first-home, move-in and rental assistance schemes, as well as creating 200,000 job opportunities.

“In the economic sector, we also aim to increase the participation of Johor’s micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in strategic investment supply chains, strengthen the Johor Youth Education Fund with an allocation of RM100 million, continue incentives for Johor students pursuing higher education, and implement the Semarak Isya’ programme.

“The choice is now once again in the hands of the people of Johor. The seeds we planted are beginning to bear fruit. Do not let Johor’s momentum of progress come to a halt halfway.

“We have laid the foundation. We have seen the results. Now is the time to complete what we have started,” he said.
