KUALA TERENGGANU – The Terengganu Islamic Religious Affairs Department (JHEAT) has called on all mosques and prayer halls across the state to perform special solat hajat to pray for the well being and health of the Sultan of Terengganu, Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin.
According to a report on the state government's official portal on Wednesday, JHEAT has set for the special prayers to be conducted after Friday prayers on July 24 at all mosques statewide.
For prayer halls, the solat hajat will be held following Isya’ prayers on July 24, corresponding to 9 Safar 1448 Hijrah.
The special prayers aimed to seek Allah SWT's blessings for the Sultan of Terengganu, with prayers for his good health, well-being and that all matters be made easy for him.
In light of this, JHEAT has urged all parties, particularly mosque and surau management committees, to carry out the directive according to the specified schedule.
The department also called on the public to attend the prayers in unity to support the initiative.
