AYER KEROH – The integrity of the unity government under the leadership of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is currently being tested by the actions of certain parties practising ‘two-faced’ politics by prioritising personal political interests over the welfare of the people.

Angkatan Muda Keadilan (AMK) chief Muhammad Kamil Abdul Munim said acts of political betrayal while the country's leadership is working hard to rebuild the confidence of the public and the international community in the nation's administration must not be taken lightly.

He said despite facing many political problems, Anwar continues to show strong leadership to ensure that the country’s stability is not compromised.

“The greed of certain parties who place their political interests above the interests of the people and the nation should not be taken lightly,” he said when speaking at the AMK National Congress 2026 at the Melaka International Trade Centre (MITC) here on Thursday.

He added that AMK is not merely a group of 'yes-men' who nod along to every administrative decision, but will instead uphold accountability and dare to voice views prudently based on facts.

“AMK does not want to be a group whose sole duty is to nod at every government decision. We are part of the government and we defend what is right.

However, when something can be improved, we must be brave enough to state our views with facts, figures, arguments and decorum. Loyalty to the cause does not mean we lose the courage to question,” he said.
