JASIN - Three tour bus passengers, including a tour guide, were injured after the bus veered off the left side of the road before overturning at Kilometre 177.6 of the North-South Expressway (northbound) here this morning.
Jasin district police chief Supt Lee Robert said those injured were a 59-year-old local man who was a tour guide, a 62-year-old Singaporean and a 42-year-old British national.
He said police received information about the accident involving the tour bus, which was travelling from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur, at about 5am today.
"Initial investigations found that it was carrying 12 people, including a bus driver and a tour guide.
"Upon reaching the location of the accident, there was a lorry ahead that had slowed down. The bus driver attempted to avoid colliding with the lorry before veering off the left side of the road,” he said in a statement here today.
He said the three victims, who sustained injuries to their heads and legs, were taken to Jasin Hospital for treatment. - BERNAMA
