SEREMBAN – The situation at the Undang Luak Sungei Ujong Hall here returned to normal after Tunku Nadzaruddin Tuanku Ja’afar left the premises, with police personnel subsequently dispersing from the area.
It is understood that the Undang Yang Empat, including the disputed Undang, as well as Tunku Besar Tampin and Dato Shahbandar Sungei Ujong, also left the premises.
More than 30 police personnel had earlier been deployed outside the hall to maintain security, while members of the media were initially asked to leave and barred from approaching the premises to cover the situation.
The police later dispersed after the situation at the location came under control.
Earlier, a scheduled meeting between Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Ismail Lasim, members of the State Executive Council (Exco) and Tunku Nadzaruddin at the Tuanku Ja’afar Royal Gallery here was cancelled due to security concerns.
Ismail was later reported to have held a meeting with Exco members and several state assemblymen from the government at a hotel here.
Gemas assemblyman Ridzuan Ahmad, who was approached by reporters, only smiled when asked about the situation before leaving the hotel.
