SHAH ALAM – Police arrested three men to assist investigations after a man was allegedly attacked and slashed to death by a group of men in Banting earlier, today.
Kuala Langat police chief Superintendent Mohd Akmalrizal Radzi said the district police headquarters received information about the incident from the MERS 999 emergency line at about 12.01am on Tuesday.
"The victim, a local man, was attacked and slashed by a group of men, resulting in his death in the Banting area," he said in a statement.
He said three men had since been arrested to assist investigations.
The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder, while the motive remains under investigation.
Akmalrizal asked members of the public with information related to the incident to contact the Kuala Langat District Police Headquarters (IPD) Operations Room at 03-3187 2222 or to come forward at the nearest police station to assist investigations.
