KUALA LUMPUR - The Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) is inviting the public to participate in the Armed Forces Run 2026, which will be held on Dec 20 at Dataran Wawasan, Putrajaya, in conjunction with the 93rd MAF Anniversary celebration.
In a statement, the MAF said the event, which offers three running categories - the Armed Forces Fun Run 3KM, Armed Forces Run 10KM and Armed Forces Half Marathon 21KM - is open to all Malaysians.
According to the statement, registration is open until Nov 30, with further information and registration available via https://checkpointspot.asia/event/armed-forces-run-2026.
"The event aims to promote a healthy lifestyle through sporting activities while strengthening ties between the MAF and the community,” the statement said.
Apart from the runs, the event will also feature stage performances, special performances, a prize-giving ceremony and a lucky draw offering prizes worth more than RM80,000.
"The organisation of the Armed Forces Run 2026 also reflects the MAF’s commitment to strengthening ties with the community through the spirit of sportsmanship and togetherness, in line with the theme of the 93rd MAF Anniversary, "MAF Resilience, the Nation’s Defence Bulwark”, the statement said. - BERNAMA
