JASIN, Nov 3 (Bernama) -- Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has urged all candidates and parties contesting the 16th Melaka State Election to adopt a good and clean campaign approach and comply with democratic rules.

"I hope we campaign in a good and clean manner. The people have already made up their minds regarding the choice of candidates, so these minor or trivial matters should not be used as an excuse.

"This is a democratic country. We contest according to the rules, and we hope unnecessary issues will not be raised and prolonged. What is important is that on Nov 14, we will see where the support of voters in Melaka lies,” he said at a press conference after attending the MARA Higher Education & TVET Tour 2026 programme in Melaka here today.
