SHAH ALAM - Sinar Karangkraf Media Group on Saturday unveiled its new English news portal named Sinar Daily.

With alternative news and moderate Islamic views as its brand identity, this new platform will be providing a more refreshing contents for the public’s consumption.

This new segment will bring forth a unique approach to news reporting and digital programmes, ranging from breaking news, in-depth reports, latest lifestyle trends as well as the business and financial coverage.

Malaysians can look forward to local and international news coverage from across the globe as well as Islamic World news, which has been widely underreported in today’s day and age.

Sinar Karangkraf chief executive officer Farah Hussamuddin said the launch of Sinar Daily is a step forward in strengthening the company’s presence in the news industry as the audience for online media continues to grow.

“We hope to tap into the minds of our new audience with relatable, thought-provoking stories that make an impact not only to them personally but also the society in general. “Our focus is to bring original, in-depth reporting while staying true to our identity by being transparent and truthful,” she said.

Sinar Karangkraf’s group editor-in-chief and chief content officer Rozaid Rahman, who has more than three decades of journalistic experience under his belt, said journalism, regardless in print or digital will always prevail as public will continue to seek for authentic and verified information.
