SHAH ALAM - A member of the Father’s Rights Malaysia (FRAM) who only wanted to be known as Ahmad, revealed that he used to be locked inside the house of his former wife while visiting his chiild.

Ahmad said he needs to obey the rules if he wants to spend time with his child when he is not allowed to go out from his former spouse's housing area.

He said the longest he had to stay in the house was four hours and he only got to meet his child once a week.

“I have a problem whereby my ex-wife insisted for me to only visit my child inside her house.

“Every time I’m visiting my child, I have to call the police and I will bring my mother with me.

“So that I can be given an area for me to play with my children,” he said.

Commenting further, Ahmad said, he is also prohibited to take any pictures and upload them on any social media platforms during his stay at the house.

However, Ahmad said that under a court order, he is allowed to bring his child to his own house.

Ahmad further explain that was intentional to introduce his child to his other family members.

However, his child would be scared and cry to the point that the child would call him a bad father.

“So, when I have to take the child with me, five minutes or 10 minutes after I leave the house, my child will start crying and shouting that 'daddy' is bad.

“The truth is, I am upset after that had happened. After he had said that, he immediately cried, after which I had to take my child back to my family home,'' he said.

“After the incident, I consoled and succeeded in fixing my relationship with my child,” he said.
