SHAH ALAM - For Young Syefura Othman, she knew joining the DAP, rather than other multicultural parties such as PKR, would be the right step for her.

Unlike PKR, Young Syefura said she felt that the DAP was providing better opportunities for the youth, especially women to participate in their political forum.

"Why DAP and not PKR? I believed at the time DAP provides space for opportunities for the youth and women and witnessed the work ethic of DAP representatives at the time and that interested me and I believed DAP's stand suits my idea of how to serve the community,'' she said to Sinar Daily.

Ketari assemblyman Young Syefura are among a number of Malays representatives in the DAP. Others include the likes of Syerleena Abdul Rashid (Seri Delima), Sheikh Umar Bagharib Ali (Paloh), Jamaliah Jamaluddin (Bandar Utama), Zairil Khir Johari (Tanjong Bunga), and Edry Faizal Eddy Yusof (Dusun Tua)

Young Syefura or fondly known as Rara took the opportunity during Sinar Daily's Politically Frank segment to share her thoughts on contemporary politics and why she had joined the DAP.
