Tun Mahathir still undergoing treatment at IJN, thanks Malaysians for their well wishes
SHAH ALAM - After weeks of speculation on his health, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad is finally allowed home on Feb 2, after undergoing elective surgery at the National Heart Institute (IJN).
However, Dr Mahathir is still being treated at IJN as he has to undergo physiotherapy sessions and follow up procedures according to a brief statement issued by his office today.
Dr Mahathir also posted a short video on all his social media platforms, informing the public of his recovery and thanking them for their well wishes.
“I would like to inform that I have recovered, not fully but I have recovered for the past few days. I have been going back home from the hospital
“I have been able to go back home from the hospital from morning till evening,” he said.
“I would like to thank everyone who had prayed for my recovery. Many had sent flowers and get-well-soon cards and for that, I thank you, ” he added.
He explained that he needs to return to the hospital after since there are procedures that need to be carried out by the medical team in order to ensure his full recovery in the future.
