SHAH ALAM - Pakatan Harapan (PH) respects the decision of PKR to use their own logo in the upcoming Johor state elections, according to Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) communications director Khalid Samad.

In an exclusive interview with Sinar Ahad, Khalid explained that the request was made by PKR grassroots who believe that their logo is much more recognisable based on the result of the 14th general election (GE14).

However, for the Dap and Amanah, both parties agreed to use the PH logo in the state election.

“PKR accepted our suggestion to use the PH logo at the time but unfortunately, things did not work out for us as planned.

“It was not because of the logo in our opinion but PKR is of the belief that such was the case,” he said, referring to the PKR logo touted as being more recognisable compared to the PH logo.

“We will respect their decision to do so as it also provides us the opportunity to test the strength of the PKR logo before we face GE15,” he added.

Khalid also said that should the theory turn out to be true, there will be no qualms in all parties sharing the same logo moving forward.

Similarly, should the theory prove to be untrue, he added that the PH logo will be used in GE15.
