KUALA LUMPUR - Malaysia United Democratic Alliance (Muda) president Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman has reminded his party members to be “humble” and admit to their “mistakes” during their party’s launch last night.

In his speech, Syed Saddiq also reminded his party member to be grateful and not be arrogant to their “friends” who have helped the party since its inception.

“We must not forget who our friends are. Our friends from Parti Warisan Sabah, DAP, from Amanah, from parti Sains and our friends who are not here Parti Keadilan Rakyat,” he said at the Connexion Conference and Event Centre in Kerinchi here tonight.

Syed Saddiq’s remarks came after the party’s ongoing row with PKR over seat negotiations for the Johor state elections.

Currently, Johor PKR had stated they offered Muda three seats on top of Pakatan Harapan’s (PH) six other seats.

However, Syed Saddiq had refuted the claim and explained that seat negotiations with PKR is still ongoing.

Syed Saddiq had also previously taken a swipe at PKR incumbent Tiram assemblymen Gopalakrishnan Subramaniam over his supposed lack of attention to the Indian community in his constituency, however, the Muar MP has since apologised for his comments.

Also present at the launch is Amanah president Mohamad Sabu, Warisan President Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal, DAP national vice-president Teresa Kok and even representatives from Parti Aspirasi Sains Se-Malaysia.

PKR and Parti Pejuang Tanah Air was not present at the event.

Fahmi’s office had also confirmed that no official invite was given to the lawmaker by Muda.

However, in the press conference, Syed Saddiq claims PKR had been invited to the event, though they could not send any representatives.
