SHAH ALAM: A total of 26,832 Covid cases were reported in the past 24 hours, Health Director-General Noor Hisham Abdullah said.

Out of that, 133 are in categories 3, 4 and 5.

He also said the intensive care unit (ICU) occupancy rate in Johor stood at 70 per cent, Kuala Lumpur (65 percent) and Melaka (50 percent).

While Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Terengganu, Kelantan, Putrajaya, Labuan, Sabah and Sarawak have recorded lesser than 50 percent occupancy rate..

"There are six ICU beds in Putrajaya and only one is in use while Labuan has seven with no occupancy," he said in a statement today.

He also said hospitals in all states are able to accommodate both Covid and non-Covid patients and individuals who are yet to be vaccinated remain in the high-risk group of being infected.

There were 18,459 recovery cases reported yesterday bringing the cumulative recoveries in the country to 2,937,655. - Bernama
