SHAH ALAM - Sexual crimes involving children is now at a 'critical' level, said family and marriage counsellor Hushim Salleh, adding that there is a spike in incest, rape and sodomy cases involving children.

He said parents are seeking counselling services for their young to stop addiction to pornography.

“When they watch such videos, they are aroused and want to copy it. They are not mature enough to differentiate between good and bad to the extent that crimes involving incest, rape and even much worse acts of having same-sex intercourse is taking place,’’ he said to Sinar Harian.

Hushim said based on his counselling sessions, kids who watch pornographic videos said they felt no shame doing so as they do not know if it was wrong to do so.

“They said to me that they enjoy watching it.

"This situation clearly shows that they do not possess the ability to think and differentiate between good and bad yet, with some even wanting to copy the act with someone else including with their own family members," he said.
