SHAH ALAM: The Election Commission (EC) has further eased Covid-19 SOPs by allowing ceramahs to be held in and at the compound of a party's operational room and office.

However, ceramahs at public areas are still not allowed, it said in a statement today.

It added not more than 100 people will be allowed to attend election talks held till March 11 midnight, a day before Johor polls.

"It should not be more than 100 people or 50% of the capacity of the area," it said, adding that the number includes the organisers and participants.

"The one-meter physical distancing remains," it added.

It also reiterated that the ceramahs must not go beyond 12 midnight. The changes are takes place from immediate effect," it added.
