MetMalaysia issues thunderstorm warning in several states in Peninsular, Sabah

SHAH ALAM- Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a bad weather alert today as thunderstorms with heavy rains and strong winds are expected to hit several states in Malaysia.

MetMalaysia stated that thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong wind are expected in Perlis, Kedah (Kubang Pasu, Padang Terap, Sik and Baling), Perak (Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Kampar, Batang Padang and Muallim), Selangor (Hulu Selangor, Gombak, Petaling and Hulu Langat) as well as Kuala Lumpur within the period of 3:00PM until 7:00PM today.

Meanwhile, the areas in Pahang (Pekan and Rompin) Melaka, Johor, Sabah (Kuala Penyu and Beaufort, Putatan, Penampang, Kota Kinabalu, Tuaran and Kota Belud) are expected to experience the same weather condition until 5:00PM.
