Covid-19: Malaysia records 86 new fatalities, 27,004 positive cases

SHAH ALAM - Malaysia reported another 86 fatalities due to Covid-19, including 35 brought-in-dead cases in the last 24 hours, according to data published by the Health Ministry.

This brings the death toll from the disease here to 34,185 people.

Malaysia also recorded 27,004 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, compared to 26,534 cases the previous day.

Currently, there are 296,799 active cases with 7,856 being hospitalised.

Out of that number, 373 are being treated in intensive care units with 225 of them requiring respiratory assistance.

The Health Ministry also recorded 29,450 recoveries as of yesterday.

To date, Malaysia has recorded 3,896,855 Covid-19 cases since the pandemic began.
