KUALA LUMPUR - Umno and BN believe in the wisdom of the sultans and the head of states in making a harmonised decision to jointly held the 15th General Election (GE15) together with state elections.

Umno Secretary-General, Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan said, his party also expects that the heads of administration in six states, Penang, Kedah, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Terengganu, and Kelantan, who expressed that they would only hold state elections at the end of their term, to reconsider.

“We hope these states will think about it again. The essential point to remember is that the losses caused by political instability in the country are now far higher as it affects foreign investment, national image, and the practice of true democracy.

“It has led to a huge loss to the country in the last two years.

"Of course, it is expected for the head of states and the sultans to exercise wisdom in making a standardised decision for GE15,'' he said referring for state elections to be held together with the general elections
