SHAH ALAM: An Umno division chief says Malaysians are smart enough to know PKR's vice president Rafizi Ramli's "facts and manipulated facts".

Subang Umno Youth Chief Alfie Zainal said that his recent come back to politics will not make a "big impact" as he did previously.

"First he attacks ex-prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak on Sapura's compensation.

"The way he manipulated the issue and attack Putrajaya for approving a payment to the CEO which was in fact was a private entity," he said during a Wacana English Edition's 'Dear Youth Leaders, What's Next?' tonight.

Recently Rafizi had said that Sapura Energy Bhd's CEO had received some RM983 million in various payments from 2009 to 2018 when Najib was the prime minister.

Due to that, the government has no hand in determining how the public listed company compensate their employees.

"What he promised during GE14 and what translates as a PH government policies, the voters have witnessed it was empty promises and fairytales," he said.

With support for opposition sliding downwards, Aflie said Rafizi would not be "a big force that we (BN) should be afraid of".

He said he was "sad" for PKR and Pakatan Harapan to put their hopes on Rafizi to garner votes as it shows their current leadership is not adequate to get Rafizi into the picture.

"He is known to be emotional in the political scene and he is having a huge resistance within PKR itself," he said.

Alfie further said Rafizi's comeback will benefit Barisan Nasional "as a split political party will always be an advantage to the opponent".

Sinar Daily is contacting Rafizi for comments in response to this.
