Covid-19: Nation records 14,944 new cases, 31 fatalities in the last 24 hours

However, this is a slight uptick compared to 11,994 cases recorded the day prior.
The Klang Valley also recorded 8,426 cases in the last 24 hours, retaining a much higher infection trend compared to other states.
Meanwhile, the Klang Valley and Perak also have the highest number of deaths caused by Covid-19 with the recorded amount of 86 and 75 deaths, respectively in the last 14 days.
In terms of fatalities, the nation recorded 31 new death including six brought-in-dead cases in the last 24 hours, with the total cumulative death at 35,258 since the pandemic began.
Currently, there are also 158,439 active cases with 154,880 or 97.8 per cent of them placed under home quarantine.
Out of that number, 3,012 are hospitalised with 206 of them treated in intensive care units.
Currently, there are 109 cases that require ventilator support.
The nation also recorded, 4,271,316 Covid-19 cumulative cases since the pandemic began.
In terms of vaccination rate, Lembah Klang continues to lead with 95.5 percent, followed by Pulau Pinang and Negeri Sembilan with 86.4 percent and 84.8 percent, respectively.
Malaysia has thus far administered 69,138,021 doses of vaccines.
