SHAH ALAM - Perikatan Nasional (PN) must be consulted first before Parliament is dissolved, Bersatu President Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said.

On his Facebook page today, he said PN plays a major role in determining the country's policies.

He said other than discussing matters important to the rakyat, he reminded Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob during a dinner at Sri Perdana last night "that PN as the main party in the federal government, must be consulted before any decision is made on the dissolution of Parliament."

Besides the date of the dissolution of Parliament, the Pagoh MP said Ismail Sabri focused on the importance of cooperation between PN and the federal government.

Present were Pas president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang, STAR president Datuk Seri Panglima Dr Jeffrey Kitingan, SAPP president Datuk Seri Panglima Yong Teck Lee, and Gerakan president Datuk Dr Dominic Lau Hoe Chai.

Speculations have been rife over the 15th General Election this year as certain factions with Barisan Nasional (BN) are confident of a bigger victory after the recent landslide victory in the Johor state election.

However, both PN and coalition Pakatan Harapan (PH) do not seem to be keen on general elections.
