Covid-19 cases rise to 10,052 with 22 fatalities

SHAH ALAM - Malaysia recorded 10,052 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours as compared to 9,002 cases yesterday, indicating an increase after three days of cases dipping below 10,000.

Over 2,599 are hospitalised with 62 patients in intensive care unit (ICU) and 99 patients requiring ventilator supports.

There were 22 deaths with six brought-in-dead (BID) cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the total death to 35,363 since the pandemic began.

Currently, there are 120,592 active cases with 117,465 (97.4 per cent) undergoing home quarantine.

Klang Valley and Selangor recorded the highest number of Covid-19 infections with 6,850 and 5,968 respectively in the last seven days.

The country has reported 4,352,611 Covid-19 in total since the pandemic began.
