SEMPORNA - Warisan has rejected to form a coalition with Bersatu for 15th General Elections (GE15), further stating that the party does not want another Sheraton Move incident in the country.

Warisan President Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal said the country's political instability was due to Sheration Move in 2020 which saw the sudden collapse of elected Pakatan Harapan coalition.

This comes after claims that Bersatu President, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin had contacted him recently to form a cooperation.

"After he (Muhyiddin) stated his intentions (via phone call), I told him it is alright, just forget it. I will not cooperate since it could further affect the instability of our country," he said referring to Sheraton Move.

"The move did not bring unity. Look at the consequences we face today, the country's political situation is not stable," he said after attending an buka puasa event, here.

He said this when asked to comment on cooperation with other parties and his recent refusal to work with Muhyiddin.

Shafie, the Semporna MP added such moves also have an impact on investors.

"It is clear that the people are losing confidence, including those abroad. The existing investors are also worried and (they) depend a lot on leaders.
