Britney Spears suffers miscarriage; says she has lost her “miracle baby”

Just a month after announcing her third pregnancy, Britney Spears shared that she had suffered a pregnancy loss.

“It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that we have lost our miracle baby early in the pregnancy.

“This is a devastating time for any parents. Perhaps we should have waited to announce until we were further along however, we were overly excited to share the good news,” wrote Spears in a joint statement with fiance Sam Asghari.

The couple wrote that they will continue to try expanding their family, but asked for privacy during this difficult time.

The sad news comes just days after Spears shared a glimpse of her wedding veil on Instagram, ahead of their upcoming nuptials.

When Spears initially broke the news of her pregnancy, fans expressed their delight as the singer had opened up about her desire to have more children.

However, she was unable to make her own birth control decisions while under conservatorship, which officially ended in November last year.

The singer had told the Los Angeles Country Superior Court Judge, Brenda Penny, that conservators did not allow her to remove her intrauterine device (IUD).

Spears is already a mother of two to sons Sean and Jayden, who she shared with former husband, Kevin Ferderline.
