SHAH ALAM - The nation recorded 1,645 new Covid-19 positive cases, including 1 imported case in the last 24 hours, the health ministry reported, the health ministry has said.

It also reported 3 new deaths bringing the total to 35,660 nationwide.

There are currently 25,052 active cases, bringing the total number of cases to 4,502,579 since the pandemic began.

Klang Valley reported the highest number of new cases in the last 24 hours, with an average of 1,210 cases.

Meanwhile, Johor and Klang Valley reported the highest number of deaths with 13 and 9 deaths in the last 14 days.

As for the vaccination rate, Klang Valley continues to lead with 99.4 percent, followed by Penang and Negeri Sembilan with 90.2 percent and 88.7 percent, respectively.
