SHAH ALAM - Prime minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob said he has yet to have a meeting with plantation industries and commodities minister Zuraida Kamaruddin in regards to her resignation from Bersatu

He, however, said he could not reach Zuraida due to her being on leave.

“I was made to understand that she is still on leave, so I did not have the time to discuss the matter with her.

“InsyaAllah, once we meet, we will discuss and I will make a decision,” he said after the Barisan Nasional Convention here.

He also added that Zuraida only quits from her party, not from the cabinet and her position in the cabinet is yet to be discussed.

“Zuraida quits Bersatu but she did not quit from the cabinet.

“Quitting the party and the cabinet are two different things and she did not discuss the matter with me because that's her issue with the party, but as for the (ministry) position, she needs to discuss it with me first,” he explained.

Zuraida quit Bersatu last week to join the newly formed Parti Bangsa Malaysia. She had said that she would meet with Ismail Sabri to discuss her ministerial position, and that she would continue to support the current government.
