Arafah #QuranHour to be held on July 8
SHAH ALAM - The Arafah #QuranHour organised by Kumpulan Karangkraf is back again this year after being put on hold since the Covid-19 pandemic.
The programme which will be held on July 8 (9 Zulhijjah 1443H) from 5pm to 6pm will be aired on all Sinar Harian digital platforms.
This year, the focus of the recitation would be on Quranic verses 18 and 19 from Surah Al-Hajj and verse 15 of Surah Al-Sajdah.
The verses contained calls for people to prostrate to Allah SWT.
Yayasan Warisan Ummah Ikhlas (WUIF) chief executive officer Marhaini Yusoff was reported to have said that the event would focus on four groups, namely the pilgrims who were in the Holy Land, companies (that handle haj pilgrims), alumni and prospective pilgrims.
“Our focus this time is on the two surahs which contain verses on the piety of a servant and to free oneself from ego and arrogance (towards Allah SWT).
“We also hope that this year, more participants from many agencies and Tabung Haji would join the programme,” she said.
