M’sia records 1,921 Covid-19 cases, two fatalities in the last 24 hours

SHAH ALAM - Malaysia records 1,921 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours with over 1,052 hospitalised, according to data published by the Health Ministry.

Meanwhile, over 29 patients in the intensive care unit (ICU) and 20 patients out of the number required ventilator support.

The nation also recorded another two deaths due to Covid-19 with no brought-in-dead (BID) cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 43,316 since the pandemic began.

Currently, there were 26,155 active cases with 25,059 (95.8 per cent) undergoing home quarantine.

Klang Valley and Selangor recorded the highest number of Covid-19 infections with 1,343 and 808 respectively in the last seven days.

The country has recorded 4,544,626 Covid-19 cases in total since the pandemic began.
