Free pineapples in honour of World Pineapple Day

Would you like free pineapples?

A local plantation turned beverage company, Brotani is giving out free pineapples and ice cream in honour of World Pineapple Day - yes there is a special day recognised to celebrate the sweet, tangy fruit.

Brotani will be stationed at Groove Grocer, TTDI tomorrow (June 25) from 10am to 2pm to give out free pineapples and ice cream to passersby as part of their Brotani Road Tour.

In addition to giving out free pineapples, the Brotani crew will also organise several activities, prize wheels, fun games and more.

They will also be engaging with pineapple lovers to address false myths surrounding pineapples, like how the sour taste depends on how one peels it, or that consuming pineapples will cause miscarriages in pregnancies.

“It's a celebration of tropical flavour day! Aligned with our vision, Brotani Road Tour 2022 was curated with the goal of empowering people to choose food choices that are not only delicious and healthy, but also good for the environment,” said its founder, Aizat Long.

Brotani is the brainchild of Aizat, Izz Thaqif, Amirul Hakim and Burhanuddin Asyraff Mahmood. The four high school friends left their respective nine-to-fives to venture into agropreneurship.
