Plans underway to appoint Isham Jalil as BN S'gor communications director, says Jamal Yunos

SEKINCHAN - Selangor BN has plans to appoint its former information chief, Isham Jalil to the state BN communications director post.

Sungai Besar Umno division chief Datuk Seri Jamal Yunos said Isham was not dropped in the BN leadership in Selangor but was merely changed portfolios.

This comes after news of Isham being axed as BN Selangor info chief went viral on June 8.

"We are discussing to place Isham as the Selangor BN communications director," he told reporters after the Sungai Besar Division Umno event to give out aid to flash flood victims at Taman Ria, Sekinchan here, today.

"We have plans to change Isham's position from Selangor BN information chief to the state BN communications director.

"However, the letter stating that BN Selangor terminated Isham's service went viral earlier than his appointment to the new post," Jamal said.

Jamal further said he was confident that the matter could be resolved after Selangor Umno chairman Tan Sri Noh Omar returns from his official duties abroad.

Commenting on the appointment of Isham as the Umno Supreme Council member last night, Jamal said the appointment of Isham was welcomed because he is one of the authoritative figures in the state of Selangor.
